Dr. Bill Ury grew up in Taiwan as the son of  United Methodist missionaries.  He graduated from Asbury College in 1978, and Asbury Theological Seminary in 1983.  Between college and seminary, Bill spent a year studying in Israel (1979-1980.  After seminary, he began a degree at Drew University.  He married Diane Nelson, and while at Drew  University, they served as associate pastors of a Chinese-American Methodist Church in Chinatown, NYC.  The Urys had the privilege of serving at Wesley Biblical Seminary for nearly 24 years.

Bill continues to preach for the seminary on the “Hour of Holiness” heard on American Family Radio every Sunday.  Recently, Bill and Diane moved to take a Pastoral position at the Elizabeth City Evangelical Methodist Church in North Carolina.  They have three daughters and a son.
