My wife calls me David, everyone else calls me “Dave.” I’m Professor of New Testament and Church Ambassador at Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, I am Pastor of the Ministry Development Program at College Wesleyan Church (Marion, Indiana), where I help develop young pastors in their first ministry position. Before this, I was the VP and Academic Dean at Kingswood University in Sussex, New Brunswick.
For the last 37 years, I have been married to the most wonderful woman I know, Angie. She is a home-maker and a discipler of young women. We have two children, Joshua (married to Laura) and Hannah (married to Brian), 4 beautiful granddaughters and a golden retriever named Chloe.
I was educated at Asbury University (BA), Asbury Theological Seminary (MA, MDiv) and Durham University (Phd). I am passionate about the Gospels and Paul’s letters. I have also have done extensive study and teaching in the Hebrew Bible. My wife and I have traveled extensively around the world teaching and doing leadership development. Most passionately, we have been working in local Church-based Community Development in Malawi Africa. We have recently started a new ministry called True^North. It’s a holistic local church Disciple-Making program centered around people reading, understanding and applying the Scriptures both individually and in Community.
