Tom Atkins was a pastor in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church for 23 years, serving in small as well as large churches. These years of experience have allowed him to understand the excitement, joy, frustrations and trials faced by the local church.
Tom has always had a love for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As he received numerous invitations to preach across the nation, he sensed God calling him from the pastoral ministry into full-time evangelism.
Tom is a past President of the Asbury University Alumni Association, and a past President of the National Association of United Methodist Evangelists. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Georgia. He is a recipient of the Philip Award for outstanding evangelists presented by the National Association of United Methodist Evangelists.
